Business verification for Florida company reviews

Check a company’s registration, recorded status and selected business details before a vendor, customer or partner review.

Check the company behind the name.

Before working with a vendor, customer, commercial tenant or partner, you may want to check the company’s registered name, status or supplied details. Tell us the company, jurisdiction and the facts you want verified; CBEOF compares those facts with the records available for your request.

You receive the supported findings, record references and any differences or unanswered questions. Registration checks provide business information. Locating a company, assessing creditworthiness and deciding whether to proceed with the relationship are separate questions.

How businesses use this service.

Business verification for contractors and suppliers

Identify the company named on the project agreement and the details your team wants checked. Registration review does not automatically establish a trade license, bonding or ability to pay.

Business-entity checks for commercial tenants and vendors

Confirm which company appears on a commercial lease or vendor agreement and define the business facts to review. Screening an individual rental applicant is a separate tenant screening request.

Is this the service you need?

When this fits

  • You need a company’s registered name, status or specified business details checked.
  • A vendor, customer or partner has supplied details that need source verification.

Other services that may help

Registration findings do not establish creditworthiness, financial strength or a guarantee of future performance.

What’s included.

Identify the business being checked

Start with the legal or trading name, formation jurisdiction and any registration number. Those details help distinguish companies with similar names.

Choose the details to verify

Choose the facts you need checked, such as registration, recorded status or other supplied details available from the selected records.

Record the source and date

Document the source and date of review. A report describes what was available at that time, with unresolved differences kept visible.

Resolve differences in the records

Address discrepancies directly: a different name, outdated address, or missing record can require another source or clarification from the business.

Distinguish verification from locating

If the question is how to find or contact an entity for a case, use the Business Locate scope under Skip Tracing & Locate Services instead.

What you’ll receive

  • The entity identifiers and list of business facts requested.
  • Findings for the fields included in the agreed scope.
  • Source references and the date of review.
  • Matched, conflicting and unverified details distinguished clearly.
  • Specific clarification questions for any unresolved field.

How it works.

  1. Identify the company

Use the names, jurisdiction and available registration identifiers to define which company the assignment concerns.

  2. Check the selected facts

Check the agreed fields against the selected records and note the source and date for each material finding.

  3. Review findings and differences

Return the supported details and any differences. Agree whether another document or source is needed before extending the research.

Know what to expect.

We’ll confirm the work, the updates you’ll receive and who to contact along the way.

  • The exact entity and the business facts to check, with each jurisdiction named.
  • The source references and review date to accompany the findings.
  • How unmatched fields, conflicting records and any separately approved follow-up will be reported.

What helps us help you.

  • The legal name, trading names and business details provided by the entity.
  • The formation jurisdiction and registration number, if known.
  • The exact registration, status or stated details you want checked.
  • The vendor, customer or partner decision this information will support.

What shapes your quote.

  • Number of entities and jurisdictions.
  • Fields and documents to verify.
  • Source access and document charges.
  • Complexity of conflicting names or entity relationships.

Tell us what you need help with. We’ll explain which records are needed and how to provide them. Personal reports, ID images and account files can wait until then.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about this service?

A few details to help you decide.

Ask another question
Is this a business credit report?

No. The core scope checks registration, status, and selected stated details. Credit, financial analysis, and an opinion about ability to pay are not automatically part of the assignment.

Will it tell us where the business can be found?

Registration information may include addresses, but verifying a filing is different from a locate assignment. If the goal is contact or location research, request that scope under Skip Tracing & Locate Services.

Can we check several related companies?

Yes, describe each entity and the connection you want reviewed. The quote should name the entities and jurisdictions so a group request does not become an undefined investigation.

What happens if records disagree?

The report should identify the difference and the sources involved. Additional documents or a separate research step may be needed; a missing or conflicting record should not be silently treated as verification.

Does a verified registration mean the business is approved?

No. It documents selected facts from the agreed sources. Your organization decides whether those facts satisfy its onboarding or review criteria.
