Coach and volunteer background screening for Florida programs.

Choose background checks for coaches, volunteers and staff, with program instructions and transportation duties considered.

A coach leads a small soccer training group on a field.

Plan checks for the adults joining your season.

Youth sports background screening starts with the coaches, volunteers and paid staff involved in your program. Identify responsibilities, adult volume and the written pathway your league, club or recreation organization is following.

General background checks, criminal record searches, fingerprint-based screening and your organization’s eligibility decision serve different purposes. Share the instructions before selecting work. Driving duties can call for a separate record request alongside the program screening scope.

Frequently asked questions

Questions before we talk?

Answers to help you move forward with confidence.

Ask another question
Is a general background check the same as a fingerprint-based screening?

No. They are different requests. Share the specific instructions for your organization so the selected checks, any fingerprinting pathway and the party responsible for eligibility review are clearly identified.

Can coaches, volunteers and paid staff be reviewed together?

They can be included in one consultation. List each role and its responsibilities so the appropriate checks and follow-up can be scoped for each group rather than treating every adult assignment as identical.

What should we prepare for a program screening consultation?

Bring the organization name, a list of roles, the number of adults involved and the screening instructions you have received. Describe any existing status records in general terms; individual reports and sensitive identifiers are not needed in the first request.
